Hello everyone and yes it’s been a long time since I posted but we lost a girl at work, but the atmosphere has been much better even if the work load has increase 3 fold.
So my youngest girl Camille graduated from high school, I’m so proud!!!!! This is a very good moment as she’s been ill for the past few months and I thought it may be MONO but her test show an autoimmune disease that requires further testing to diagnose so that testing starts next Thursday keep your prayers going that it’s not Lupus as it’s high on the list due to her symptoms.
There hasn’t been any knitting, crocheting or much crafting as of late but I did manage getting a few cards finished:

I really love card making and feel that it’s helping figure out what type of scrapper I want to really be. I hope to include some pages soon as I have some ideas brewing in my head.
Well I have homework that really needs to be completed and a pizza that’s in my near future so until next time keep creating.
Was outside just a minute ago taking the last meat from the grill and thought when will I have something substantial to show for all this yarn that I have. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s been a while since I was truly able to sit down at the sewing machine and make anything. I have several new knitting patterns that I mentioned in my last post but haven’t had the time to start on any of them. Got a new digital scrapbooking program that it took me a week-n-half to upload. Have 3 SWAP’s I’m in on RAverly and no real time to get anything done.
Yes, life as it usually does has gotten in the way and I hate that because crafting is my outlet, the catalyst to relaxation. So I’ve been on edge for weeks without any real time to craft. You can normally find my efforts laying beside me the next morning with only a stitch or two completed. Work is stressful, my youngest is graduating from high school but has been ill for the past month and we still don’t know what’s going on with her yet. My boyfriend was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. To top it all off, I’m back in school and looking to start nursing school in the fall.
I did become inspired to use up all of my acrylic yarns and make things for charity. Here’s my latest endeavor
Crocheted baby caps for a charity KnitsforNeeds.
So although I’ve managed to crochet 3 caps I feel as though my creative mojo is being stifled and I want it back.

Here’s to productivity and a bit of planning finally. What am I referring to? That would be an idea that come from one of the Ravelry group I’m in. Year Long Gift-a-Long in which you spend the whole year making gifts for those on you long list so you don’t spend the last minute rushing to complete those gifts. So here’s my list for the remainder of the year as posted on Ravelry:
May~ Birthday Cowl, Lacie Lady Socks, at least 4 washclothes
June~ Lace Wrap for my Mother this will be my first serious lace project so it will have my undivided attention.
July~ Tudora hoping to make several of these in varying colors so hopefully I’ll get at least 3 made
August~ Wristers for my oldest DD and maybe Fetching for her also
September/October ~ Would like to make several Shrugs for my daughters to prepare for the cold weather which will be here by then.
November/December ~ more washclothes, scarves, hats to give to charities and my family
Now that I’ve put my list up for all of you to read along with my fellow Ravelry gift givers I have an obligation to get this done.
I had talked about my SWAP partners socks for the Sock It To Me 3 SWAP and I heard from her that they were the best socks that have been made for her. That really makes me feel so good knowing that I had such anxiety about getting them right. That also confirms the mentality of a crafter that every stitch, chain, thread and all have to be perfect. So I know for sure from a fellow crafter that I managed to create a well made pair of socks. Thanks Cary for the kind words and appreciation of those socks.
It’s been a long week so long until I forgot to mention that Friday, April 24th was my 42nd birthday. So Happy 42nd Birthday to me. 
I treated myself for my birthday with a book and a skein of yarn. I’ve been wanting to knit lace and still looking for patterns and saw the Nancy Pygora Merino Lace Scarf in the 101 Small Indulgences Luxury Yarn One-Skein Wonders. I have a very nice skein of Silk Claudia Handpainted in Poppy that I snatched up from my fav online yarn shop Eat.Sleep.Knit (you can find the link on my side bar) Go ahead you know you want to look.
This is the yarn I want to use for the scarf, isn’t it purrty.
Here’s the yarn I purchased with my book for my birthday. It’s The Unique Sheep in Aurora colorway Paradise 1324 yards of pure beauty. It makes me think of a beautiful Carribean ocean.
WIP- still working on my Lacey Ladies Socks had to frog one sock and start the lace work over but it’s been really going well. Hope to have the sock back on the ML (magic loop) today. Still have a cowl on the stitch holder and after completed these socks I will pick that up and complete them along with DD #1 who finally asked for a pair.

Hello everyone,
Yes, I just realized that it’s been almost a month since my last post. There has been a great loss in my life the other week. My friend and little (play) sister passed from Breast Cancer and left behind 4 sons ages 2-8 yrs. old and a very caring companion. Please remember her family in your prayers and pray that her undying devotion will remain in the hearts of those children.
I’ve managed to complete a quilt, a pair of socks and that’s it for now. I have a pair of lace socks on my needles and have finished my Sock It to Me 3 SWAP.

Well…there hasn’t been a real in depth post for a while and I felt this was a good time while I have the time. First off, let me start off by saying that there has been some researching going on over here as I have some new projects that I would really love to venture into but need to learn more about the techniques, the proper language of the craft and what’s appealing to my creative taste.
Here I will cover all areas of my creative endeavors. First let’s take Knitting I’ve been knitting socks for the SOCK IT TO ME Swap on Ravelry for the past month and there’s 1 pair completed as of last week and I have another pair on the needles. As it has been stated in previous post it’s hard for me to knit for people I really don’t know and that’s why I keep getting into SWAPs. I view it as my chance to push myself out of my comfort zone and think outside of what I would do for myself and hopefully at the end of the SWAP there will be growth, new discoveries and hopefully a new friend to keep in touch with. So here’s a little history of my sock knitting journey. I started out on DPN’s, then I found Cat Bordhi’s Socks Soar on Two Circulars and that really made sock knitting fun, then I discovered ML(Magic Loop) this was were the fun and action really happened for me. After that it was learning how to knit 2-at-a-time and I conquered that, then it was Short Row Heels and now that’s in the bag also. During this winter I discovered cowls and although I’ve only made 1 so far they are the next big thing for me. They are so fantastic as a quick gift idea and also a wonderful way to make use of the infamous 1 skeins that we fibers lovers get just because. I also want to knit some shrugs as cover-ups for the spring/summer season. I’m in the process of looking for patterns that are a quick knit that maybe able to get done over the course of a weekend. I know that’s wishful thinking but it’s the only free time I have.
Now let’s move onto Crochet there’s been nothing going on here at the moment but as always I’ve been looking for inspiration for a a few Spring lace pullovers or shrugs.
In the world of Quilting there’s been some planning for a few applique quilts using my Cricut Expression to make my words and new applications. This will open up more options for art quilts also. The biggest obsticle now is time. So stay tuned.
Next is the one craft I really need to jump back into. Sewing and if you keep up with my blog that has been pretty non-existing since the summer. I do however have 2 outfits on the cutting table with all the notions, linings and ideas ready to go. This has been bugging me because since I started my job there hasn’t been any real time to just sit and sew or to do any crafts to my hearts content.
Last on my list is my newest interest, Scrapbooking this is one that I’ve been wanting to get into for several years now and just jumped into over a month ago. There’s still so much I have to learn about this craft and have yet to become truly inspired other than being in awe of my Cricut Expression and what it can do. I would like to learn more about layouts, embellishments and journalling.
Onto the next thing. I had a knock on the door yesterday and this is what I got from my SWAP partner Annie
My gifter is really thoughtful and gave me a wonderful gift box full of new projects, tape measure, circs, 2 stitch markers and a skein of Pink yarn in fingering wtg. The box is called Winter Knits Kit- instructions and tools for 25 Cozy cold-weather projects. I also got a skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Ravenswood.
Well now that we’ve had this time to share, my request is for you to share with me any tips or favorite quick patterns, tools or sites to inspire me to take it to the next level.
Just wanted to stop by as I take a break from life to share what I’ve been up to since my last post. First I would like to share my completed SWAP socks for my partner Cary. 
I’ve discussed these socks on several previous posts and this was really good as a get your-feet-wet project
I still have a long way to go in my creativity but this is going pretty well for now. Still would like to know how do better layouts and putting my ideas together.
Well it’s the end of another week and there has been just a little bit of creating going on around here. 
I’ve been wanting to give my girls a scrapbook highlighting their life from a Mothers point of view. So here’s The Princess’ first page this story began almost 20 years ago. Stay tuned as her story unfolds. I’m still reading and researching ways to be inspired through this process so hit me up with any tips.

Here’s my almost completed socks for my SWAP partner. They are your basic ribbed socks with short row heel made from STR medium wt. in Thistle. I’m really hoping my partner will like my effort. For me the hardest thing about SWAP’s is meeting someone’s standards but I try to give as I would like to receive. But choosing patterns is really hard for me as I’m still learning so many new things to try.
The rule was to create at least one pair of socks for your partner and this is my warm up pair. I have another pair that I will send in the last installment of our 3 SWAP installments. This SWAP has been even more fun because the partners here are sharing what they are using the yarn they recieved with the group.
Well this is all I have for now but there are a few projects in the works. I even have some sewing projects that I hope to have ready to share with you all soon.
