Christmas Knitting

102_2457.JPG102_2454.JPG102_2453.JPG102_2451.JPG102_2450.JPG    these are all the projects  I’ve been working on this week while recovering from Bronchitis.    I have proudly with the help of Misocrafty’s tutorial learned how to cast-on for Toe-up Socks.  I made a black beanie and a scarf & hat set and my first felted piece a pink handbag for my Pink Princess.

I have the socks on the needle and will attempt to complete at least 2 or 3 more Beanies by Christmas.

New Venture

First off,  let me start by saying that writing a pattern isn’t as complex as I once thought.  I created 2 purse patterns both purses have been sold and needless to say I’m quite pleased with myself.

Without further ado……….drumroll please…….I present my Vickie Bag.  Made from Caron in Black with a cotton print lining with a wooden button.  My Vickie Bag102_2414.JPG

Here’s my TaShannon Bag knit with Caron in Brown with a cotton lining and no fastener per customer’s request.  I was a little tricky getting the basket weave pattern to come out right but I think it turned out great.  102_2438_edited.JPG102_2435_edited.JPG

Overall,  I really enjoyed the creative process in designing these bags and look forward to designing more.  I have come to realized too that it’s a great way to practice new knitting techniques on a smaller scale.
